The Hub

The Hub is located in St Andrews Square, Droitwich, between Holland & Barrett and Quality Crust Bakehouse. It is a community space. If people are shopping or just walking through Droitwich, they can come in, sit down, and relax. They can browse the books and magazines, and look at the artwork. We do not serve food or drinks, but visitors are welcome to bring in a take-away drink from one of the cafes or shops. The Hub is open on Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 4pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 3.30pm.
The pictures and craft items have all been produced by members of Droitwich Arts Network. The artwork is for sale, but nobody will push a visitor into buying anything. Visitors who are interested can see the prices on the attached cards or labels.
Artists may contact Rhys Jones at rhys@photomaestro.co.uk if interested in exhibiting.
Making better use of Smart Phones as Artists
On Saturday 5th April, Andy Checketts ran a session on taking better photos with a mobile phone.
He covered many aspects of taking photos and described some options not usually employed, and the results that can achieved.
The information provided applies to almost all mobile phones.
We plan to hold a follow up session in September where Andy and Erika Rosales will talk about editing images on a mobile phone, and describing the different approaches between iPhones and Android phones.
