Our Youngest Member, Ellie Parmley aged 14, Is displaying her work at the Button Tree Café

Budding artist, Ellie Parmley, is Droitwich Arts Network’s youngest member. At the age of 14, Ellie is over the moon to be holding the first exhibition of her artwork at The Button Tree Café from the 2nd of April. Currently in Year 9, Ellie is studying hard towards starting her GCSEs, Art and DT being two of her subject options, which she hopes to continue further at College. Ellie’s artistic talents were discovered during her school years.

Having been a passionate artist all her life, her creative gift has not gone unnoticed. She won the Art ‘Oscar’ for her outstanding abilities in art and design. Previous competitions Ellie has entered include the Nancy Rothwell Award and Hobbycraft Artist of the Year.

Ellie Parmley’s exhibition at The Button Tree Café will feature artwork such as ‘Tiger’ and ‘Balloon Dogs’ along with another piece of art. Sketching and drawing are Ellie’s forte and the media she is particularly enthusiastic about. Partly inheriting her art skills from her mother, Claire Parmley. Claire comments “We’re all ever so proud of Ellie. She is very excited to be showcasing her art at The Button Tree and hope visitors will enjoy viewing her pieces”.

Ellie’s captivating first exhibition as Droitwich Arts Network’s most youthful artist is not to be missed. A joyous opportunity to feast the eyes upon her artwork whilst engaging in friendly conversation, makes for a perfect outing. We hope Ellie’s artwork will bring a smile and inspire other young artists.
